End-of-the-year shenanigans

We have some friends coming over tonight to “celebrate” the new year. And when I say “celebrate” I really mean watch the guys play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and eat Rotel dip! I guess most of the cool kids wouldn’t consider that a partyin’ good time…but I’m lame, so I do. What would really top the night off? If the majority voted to play new Mario on the Wii! I mean, nothing says ‘you are my BFFF, best fuckin’ friend forever dude’ quite like picking them up over your head and throwing them into imminent doom and/or lava and/or flying koopas.

Alcohol is not on the agenda tonight, which is a good thing because a.) I’m not much of a drinker, it gets in the way of my complex thought processes, and b.) um…it’s too expensive these days. I actually have two little Kahlua White Russians that my mom gave us, but let’s face it – if Mario will be played, I can’t have that muddying up my cat-like reflexes!

So what IS on the agenda for a hopefully great 2010? I wish I could say. The thing is, I’m not big on making resolutions, partly because I believe that you never know what life will bring regardless of beginning a new year and all that. Eventually, I’d like to lose a little weight, gain some new experiences (maybe a new hobby or new job), and be content with what I have overall. Can’t really go wrong with that. See you all on the other side, folks!

Let me reintroduce myself

Well, I feel like I should or something. But I won’t. Instead, I’ll catch you up on what I’ve been up to since I blogged last. Get ready because it’s some super duper shit…

November and December: They played some MOVIES on T.V. and I WATCHED THEM. Became obsessed with SONS OF ANARCHY and DEXTER for no reason other than they are awesome, ass-kicking shows. I KNITTED a HAT and a pair of GLOVES. Wowee! We also all got sick on CHRISTMAS making it the worst Christmas in the history of Christmases…for my family, at least. And last but not least in this list of events, I shot a VIDEO with my POWERSHOT and took at least 2.5 hours trying to upload it to Viddler because I have problems. Please, don’t be jealous of my skillz.

This is the ‘Gingerbread Rap Song’ performed by Dylan and his classmates at their school music program on 12/17/09. He’s in the back row, 3rd from the left. And don’t worry about understanding the words because you can’t. Just enjoy the carefree flails and enthusiasm of childhood.
