A disrupted routine makes me a sad panda

I am a person that thrives in routines.
My weekly routine, as it stands right now: I wake up at 6:00 a.m., rouse the little man and get him ready for school. By 6:30, we’re waiting at the bus stop. With a hug and a kiss, I send him off to school and come back home to spend some quality time with Josh before he heads off to work. I usually find him in the bathroom (hey, we’ve been married for 5 years, through the best and the worst. The privacy of the bathroom is no longer sacred!)
“Good morning,” I say, “are we doing the living room or bedroom today?”
Depending on how tired and relaxed we are, we either spend the next hour and a half in the living room, lounging and watching t.v., or in the bedroom, lounging and watching t.v. We lead exciting lives.
“Bedroom,” he usually grumbles. I usually prefer this idea. So, I crawl back into bed and cocoon myself with the covers. By 7:00, we’re absentmindedly drifting in and out of sleepyness waiting for one our favorite shows, Still Standing, to come on Lifetime. Quality time at its best.
Only this morning, they’ve gone and changed everything, as they usually do when someone finally discovers a show that they like and expect to come on at a certain time. And they can’t replace good shows with a show of equal entertainment, either. Usually something stupid like Will & Grace or Project fucking Runway. I DESPISE EACH OF THOSE SHOWS. LIFETIME SUCKS.
So, we were both sad pandas this morning. Instead, we ended up watching something on the Investigation Discovery Channel about serial killers – Ted Bundy specifically. There’s nothing quite like an image of Ted Bundy to snap you back into consciousness real quick.
I blog about my daily adventures, crafting (knit/crochet), art, photography, & more. I'm sometimes funny, sometimes somber, sometimes neither, but always myself.

I love curling back up into bed, it’s awesomness. I like DVR for TV disappointments myself. They can’t control what I recoreded, muahaha

Aww, you two have a great morning routine going. Sorry Lifetime had to ruin it for you!

I love the new design. It looks lovely! Lifetime has a tendency to ruin things by just changing the schedule. I never understood that. Boo Lifetime boo!

I HATE when television channels change their line-ups!

It’s so nice you have a regular routine of you and your husband time everyday. Most married couples with children don’t have that anymore. >_<
